You are a small business, and you are trying to figure out a way that you can advertise, but keep your costs down. Public exposure is sometimes difficult. The costs can be astronomical, and it is always a gamble. Market research can help you determine how to reach your target audience, but this avenue may be very expensive, especially if you are trying to advertise during prime time. Most small businesses just don't have the revenue to afford the prices of advertising on television. Even radio can be limiting. The most popular times may be cost prohibitive. It may be time to step outside the box, literally. Out of the TV box and the Radio box, and go for something a little fun.
One tool that companies, both small and large, can use is custom logo stickers. You can have your logo made into a sticker and get it out to the public. Custom logo stickers can be made for just about any use. You could contact your local Welcome Wagon, and offer stickers with a custom backing offering a discount on your product. Or maybe go a different route. Have your custom logo stickers attached to magnets, and then they will end up on fridges. Use other tools, such as pads of paper, or other useful little things that people will keep around, and brand the top that holds the pads together with your logo.
